Benefits of Demonstrating/Merchandising/Mystery Shopping

  • Working with new products/different products all the time.
  • Choose your schedule - you can accept or decline a job based on your scheduler, etc.
  • Easy work - most demos run from 4-6 hours.  Merchandising jobs run 10 minutes to 8 hours (many choices - you make the final decisions on which ones you want).  Mystery shopping generally takes less than one hour - and you may get to keep free items or get reimbursed for certain things.
  • Great pay!!!
  • Our company provides great support to all of our reps - you won't be left in the dark!  We have a weekend call team available to meet any needs you have before, during, or after your demo or assignment.

Rep Requirments 
  • Be professional.
  • For demonstrations - Own a card table, white tablecloth, plastic gloves, and other necessary supplies (as needed).  *Many of these items can be purchased directly from our agency, speak with your scheduler for information.
  • Mystery Shoppers/Auditors may need a digital camera, although it is not required, and you can pick events or follow back-up instructions for no camera as needed.
  • Demonstrators - Wear white button-up shirt or blouse, black slacks, and dark dress shoes (unless otherwise noted).  Merchandisers - Usually business casual.
  • Be clean and hygenic before and during your event.
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs to 50lbs (varies from demonstrating to merchandising) - any differences will be given to you before booking.
  • Be able and willing to complete a background check (if necessary), an I-9 (Employment Eligibility), and a W-9.  The IC Agreement is part of the application, and is posted on the next page - Rep Paperwork.
  • Represent the product/client well!  You are usually giving the first impression, make it a great one, it will stick!
  • Other requirments based on event instructions - given before booking.
  • Return calls, emails, etc. promptly.
  • Call with questions immediately.
  • HAVE FUN!
  • Reps who do well will be rewarded - ability to book events anywhere without prior approval, bonuses, higher standard pay, first pick at assignments (especially the high profile ones - which pay higher!), etc.  We anaylze all event reports and look for people who exceed goals or other important points - if so, we can mark your name as "preferred" in our system, allowing you to get first pick on any of our events, and the ability for schedulers to see your name first when searching!
  • Most importantly - keep your committments!

Pay Schedule (Pay Rates)

 

LP In-Store Services, LLC pays its independent contractors every 30-60 days, depending on receipt of payment from clients.  Payment is by check (in USD).  In order for quick payment, reps must submit all paperwork (report forms, receipts, invoices, tax forms, etc.) by the Wednesday following the event.  All payments are per event, but are noted by the hour for your convenience.  Merchandising jobs are usually pay a flat rate regardless of time, unless otherwise noted.  The rates below are subject to change, when we receive your application, you will be sent a detailed pay rate sheet with more information.  Schedulers may make adjustments to pay based on several factors.  Please contact us with questions.

 

Standard Demo               4-6 hours     $9.50-15 /hr.   ($38-90)

Product Ambassador       4-6 hours     $10 /hr.     ($40-60)

Merchandising                Per hour       $9/hr.       ($9 or more - or flat rate)

Merchandising, resets     Per hour      $10-12/hr.      ($10 or more)

Mystery Shop/Audit        Per location  $5-20 plus ($5-20 or more)

 

***These numbers simply reflect minimums (and we often pay much higher!).  We have a goal to meet or exceed industry standards whenever possible.
